

My JOY Ride
Always loved natural wood with design; kind of fusing technology with nature.
Was tired of all the same designs for scooters out there in the market and decided to bring out the real essence and personality of free riding a eScooter- carefree, liberated and easy going. Hence i was inpsired by island style living; beaches, coconut trees, ocean breezes, vast open ocean, blue skies and wind in your face, and chilling by the beach. But the Vespa Scooter Brand had a part to play in it too. Those Italians...
I rode motorbikes before but this was altogether a different experience. Not only did it make exploring the city all that more interesting and exciting; but just riding along and seeing people on the streets made you feel connected to the community. Intimate and yet fleeting moments. Just stop anywhere and any time to embrace Life.
Parts were generally recycled from bits and bobs; a market trolley, a rain water drum, and loose pieces of plywood from a cupboard. The design slowly evolved with printwork on the front windshield, and carried on from there. The design was also suppose to be a lead to the business of customizing eScooters; I had lots of people asking me to do a job with their scooters. Especially with the windshield which could be easily be customised and digitally printed. The shield simply moulded,
